Refund Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026.
There are two guarantees. Use whichever one fits. Both apply to every paid Obteno plan — Starter, Creator and Pro, monthly or annual.
- 3 days — changed your mind. Ask within 3 days of a charge and we refund it in full. No conditions, no questions, no form.
- 60 days — first-sale guarantee. Build a product with Obteno, put it up for sale, and if you still haven't made a sale by day 60 we keep working with you until you do — or refund you in full. Your choice, not ours.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
What's covered
- Every paid subscription — Starter, Creator and Pro, billed monthly or annually, at the amount you were actually charged
- One-time purchases and add-ons bought from Obteno (for example the AI Creator Monetisation Toolkit and its order bump)
Free trials are not refundable because nothing is charged during them. Cancel before your trial ends and you are never billed at all.
The 3-day window
Within 3 days of a charge, email us and we refund that charge in full. You don't have to explain why. It does not matter how many credits you used, how many products you built, or what you downloaded.
Every charge carries its own 3-day window — your first subscription charge, each renewal after it, and each one-time purchase.
The 60-day first-sale guarantee
This one is conditional, and these are the only two conditions:
- You built at least one product in Obteno. A finished product — not an idea still sitting at the first step.
- You put it up for sale. Somewhere a real buyer could actually buy it: your own site, Gumroad, Whop, Payhip, Etsy, Stan, Shopify, a Notion checkout — anywhere with a public link and a price on it.
If both are true, you claim within 60 days of your first paid charge, and you still haven't made a sale, you pick one:
- We keep helping. You work directly with us on positioning, pricing and traffic until you land a sale. No extra cost, no time limit on that help.
- We refund you in full. Every subscription charge paid on that account within those 60 days, back to your card.
There is no third condition. We will not deny a claim because you spent your credits, downloaded your files, exported a sales page or an email sequence, or published the product. Using Obteno is the point — it is what qualifies you for this guarantee, not what disqualifies you from it.
What we'll ask you for
Two things, and both take about a minute:
- The name of the finished product in your Obteno account — we can see it, so there's nothing to attach
- The public link where it's listed for sale
We check that the product exists in your account and that the link is live with a price on it. That's the whole review. If a sale has already gone through, the 60-day guarantee doesn't apply — it did what it promised — but your 3-day window on each charge still stands.
How to claim
Email support@obteno.com from the address on your account, or reply to any Obteno email. Tell us which guarantee you're claiming, and include the sale link if it's the 60-day one. We reply within 5 business days, and approved refunds reach your bank 5-10 business days after that.
When we say no
This is the complete list of reasons a claim is refused:
- The claim arrives more than 3 days after the charge (3-day window), or more than 60 days after your first paid charge (first-sale guarantee)
- A 60-day claim where the account has no finished product, or the link isn't live and priced
- Repeat refund claims across multiple accounts, emails or cards belonging to the same person
- Fraud, chargeback abuse, or a breach of our Terms of Service
Nothing else. Credit usage, downloads, exports and published outputs never count against you.
Founders Program
Members of the Founders Program get 30 days of access without payment, so there is nothing to refund during that period. Both guarantees above apply in full to the first charge after it converts — the 3-day window runs from that charge, and the 60 days run from it too.
Before you call your bank
If you think we've got this wrong, email us first. We would far rather refund you the same week than argue with a card issuer for three months — and a chargeback filed before you've contacted us takes months longer to resolve for you than an email does.
Your statutory rights
Everything above is offered in addition to your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and equivalent EEA law, and never in place of them. Nothing in this policy limits a right you already have by law.
